Two days ago you turned two months old! I just can't believe it..the past few months have flown by! It seems like we were just waiting and waiting for you to arrive. At this point you weigh a little over eleven pounds...that means you've gained almost four pounds since birth! You wear 0-3 month clothing (you can squeeeeeze into newborn, barely) and you're quite long. Maybe you have a chance of being a little taller than your mama. :) When you were first born, I didn't know if I could enjoy anything more than I did at that moment, staring at you and cuddling you. But, as each day passes, I enjoy your company even more. In the past few weeks you've started smiling in response to us. It started out every once in a while, but now you smile every day, mostly in the mornings after you wake up. You love sticking out your tongue at people, especially if someone does it to you first! You have a ton of faces and you often look suspicious of something. You also love looking around and observing...your absolute first love is your crib bedding, though. You could stare at it forever, and I often find you talking to it and batting at it. Your talking is adorable, with little babbles and coos here and there. You mostly just make them when you're happy and you'll coo at us and try to have a "conversation." At night you sleep pretty well...the past two nights you slept seven hours in a row. During the day you do fight it, but we seem to have figured out more of a routine now and you're able to nap. Otherwise, you're quite alert and you enjoy being read to. You smile the most when I read Moo, Baa, La La La and A Color of His Own. Walks are a fun time for us to spend together and you seem to like them as well. It usually means a little nap for you, although today you enjoyed the scenery and the sun. Your dad and I enjoy all these things about you.
Eloise, you are such a delight to us. We can't wait to see your personality come out even more over the next few months and years.
